Pajer superette was made In 1931, by Fred and Paul Pajer, and Fred's wife Elisa Bertera. It was and still Is a highly successful Italian grocery store. It was Inspired by Paul and fred's father, Fioravante Pajer's olive oil Importing company, and who also funded the market itself. Mary Pajer, the sister, made tortellini for the business, showing how It was a "family-run business". The business relocated In Agawam In 1958 after the building of I-91. After the death of Paul In 1977, and Fred In 1988, the business was taken over by Fred's son, also named Fred. It became more of a Grinder destination after that, and only after Elisa's death In 2010, did the Market see any kind of popularity on Media or news. The original address was 915 E Columbus ave, Springfield while the modern one Is 400 Cooper st, agawam ma. This business continues to prosper, and Is closed Mondays and tuesdays. (Note: A third store was supposedly opened In west springfield during the 30's, and shut down not too long after)
